There are few sentences in the English language as prestigious as “Penthouse, please.” Shoot straight to the top of the importance index with an alfresco brunch at Upstairs, the Kimberly Hotel’s 30-story-high hangout.

The Place
“Oh, hey there, Chrysler Building.” The front-and-center view of New York’s iconic edifice is the perfect complement to the Kimberly’s ritzy rooftop. Decked out with tufted banquettes, a bronze bar, and strands of twinkling incandescent bulbs, Upstairs is an upscale alternative to dungeon dives and tacky taverns. Specialty cocktails are provided by flavor chemist Alex Ott, while new American food is served up by executive chef David Andrews. Rain or cold front in the forecast? The temperature-controlled space and retractable glass ceiling have you covered.

The Offer
Brunch Entree, Dessert, and Two Drinks, $41 (Regularly $63)
You and your friends (up to six vouchers can be used per table) can raise the Upstairs roof with a two-course brunch and drinks for $41. Today’s Deal includes one entree (perhaps a goat cheese-ratatouille omelet or poached Maine lobster Benedict) plus dessert (chocolate molten cake or ice cream, anyone?). Add to that two drinks of your choice and you’ll see how easy it is being a VIP (very intoxicated person).
