Travelogue, Day 1

Just got back from a fantastic day of snowshoeing and beer tasting and am now comfortably ensconced at Snapdragon Inn. Snuggling into the bed’s down comforter right at this moment.

Still marveling over the stately beauty of this historic Vermont inn. The classic brick exterior, the simple antique furnishings, the oversize library … It’s everything you could want from a New England getaway. (There’s even snow up here!) And what's not to love about the in-room Wi-Fi and HD TV?

Travelogue, Day 2

Today was all about exploring the bucolic beauty of nearby Paradise Park and sampling at Harpoon Brewery. Tomorrow we hit the antique stores right down the street before making the surprisingly quick trip back to Boston.

Okay, off for a soak in the claw-foot tub — love the heated bathroom floors! — then downstairs to read in front of the wood-burning stove. Here’s hoping every weekend escape is this rejuvenating.
