These days, the word “detox” has become synonymous with “torture.” But Dtox, the boutique day spas in Los Feliz and Encino, is setting out to change that.
We covered Dtox way back in the early DailyCandy days, when the first branch opened in Los Feliz. It became one of the more upscale businesses contributing to the neighborhood’s revival.
Dtox has since grown in popularity, with a second branch in Encino, and it’s no secret why. The health and beauty sanctuaries offer affordable yet nonstandard treatments (Moor mud wraps, organic facials, ionic foot detoxing, luxury massages) in tranquil, Asian-minimalist settings.
The only difficult thing about Dtox? Leaving.
