A little-known fact about your business?
We’re developing a whole department of our store for “gifts that give back.” We’ll feature products that have a philanthropic purpose behind them.
Who is your celebrity crush?
I am in awe of Lauren Bush. Besides being a natural beauty, she utilized her fame and fortune to create Feed bags, the proceeds of which go to the World Food Program.
Three things in your bag right now?
My favorite Tarte cheek stain, crayons for my 3-year-old, and my amazing Cleobella wallet.
Wanted: Notorious shop The Gypsy Wagon and its knickknacks, decor, and threads.
Wanted for: Peddling a hodgepodge of unusual gifts, goods for the home, and apparel. (Exhibit A: handlebar mustache corkscrew. Exhibit B: “Let’s Make Out” pillow. Exhibit C: red and blue chevron dress.)
Location: The Gypsy Wagon’s last known whereabouts are in a century-old building amid the busy saloons and storefronts on Henderson Avenue. We alerted folks to the badass boutique shortly after it came to town in 2007. And this past year, it showed up on D Magazine’s most-wanted list.
Reward: Mavericks who lasso this Deal are rewarded with a party in their honor and up to 30 percent off vintage-inspired, sustainably made, and locally designed loot.
If seen, proceed with style.
