What is DailyCandy Deals?

DailyCandy Deals is our way of helping readers get the most out of their city. We partner with local businesses to offer a limited number of Deals (40-70% off, exclusive perks, custom packages, etc.) for our readers to buy and use (or, if you're feeling generous, give as a gift). So you can get out and shop, eat, see, and experience something new and different, all without breaking the bank. Read more.

How does it work?

If you see a Deal you like, whip out your credit or debit card and make the purchase. You'll receive a link to a voucher, which you can print out. (We'll also email you the link, in case you want to print it out later.) Simply present the voucher at the restaurant, spa, boutique — wherever that particular deal may be — and voila! Your Deal is redeemed.

How do you choose which businesses to include in DailyCandy Deals?

Our goal with DailyCandy Deals is to give people the opportunity to explore the full breadth of their city. This means that we won't exclude cupcake stores just because some of our editors think pies are the new cupcakes. That said, we like to think we have good taste and pretty high standards. So we will only run a Deal with a business that we would patronize ourselves.

So is this the same as your editorial coverage?

No, it is not the same. While our Deals are curated with an editorial sensibility, our editorial coverage is entirely separate from DailyCandy Deals.

Is it safe to give DailyCandy my credit card information?

Yup, it's safe. We encrypt all your account information, and we follow all the industry best practices for credit card processing. What if the store doesn't know what I'm talking about when I give them the Deals voucher?

We work with the merchants to ensure that their staff is totally caught up on their DailyCandy Deals offerings. On the rare occasion that an employee gives you a raised eyebrow, simply contact our customer service team

Can I buy a DailyCandy Deal as a gift?

Yes! You can either print out the voucher as you normally would and give it to them yourself, or choose "Give as Gift" at checkout to have DailyCandy email the voucher to the recipient (with a heartfelt note from you, of course). Our vouchers do not include the purchase price - only the item it is redeemable for or amount the voucher is worth.

If I don't use the full value of my Deal in one visit, can I use the rest later?

No, Deals are a one-time redemption. All or nothing. May we suggest sharing the Deal with others, or practicing the timeless art of splurging?

Help, I lost my confirmation email!

Not to worry. You can always log into your account and resend and/or reprint any Deal which is still active.

What do I do if my DailyCandy Deal expires?

When the expiration date on a Deal passes, the promotional value expires, but the voucher is still redeemable for the amount you paid, for up to five (5) years, as specified on the voucher. For more information about this, please contact our customer service team.

Is DailyCandy Deals coming to my city?

We have plans to launch in every DailyCandy city . . . eventually. We'll be sure to let all our readers know when it comes time to launch in their hood. What if my Deal didn't live up to my expectations?

Hopefully this never happens, but on the off chance that it does that's what customer service is for! You can contact ours here. They're really friendly and will help resolve any issue you may have. They're open 5 days a week, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. ET.

I missed a Deal or it sold out before I could buy it. Will you offer it again?

We like to mix things up as much as possible, so don't expect to see the same business featured more than once in a short period of time. However, please feel free to contact us here to let us know if one of our sales particularly tickled your fancy. We'll work on getting the business to run another deal sometime in the future.

What's with all the fine print?

Don't be scared of the fine print! It's not meant to make it harder for you to use your Deal; it's meant to make it easier. Each deal is a unique experience, and we think it's important that you have all the information up front so redeeming your deal is as easy as it is enjoyable.

What if the business closes down before I redeem my Deal?

If something happens which makes it impossible for the business to honor your Deal, we will absolutely refund you the entire amount you spent.

Can I return a Deal after I've bought it?

You cannot return a Deal once it has been purchased. However, if you buy a Deal and then decide you don't want it, you can always give it to someone as a gift. You can also contact our customer service team any time.

Will you share my email or other information with the merchants for marketing purposes?

No. We will never share your email address with any of our merchants, unless you authorize us to do so.
